Normandy Visit
Backpacking through Europe after graduation, Kevin visited the American cemetery at Normandy. The experience left an indelible impression that would shape his future work.
2000s
Advanced Degrees
Earned an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a Master’s in International Affairs from the Columbia School of International and Public Affairs, blending his interests in history, policy, and leadership.
2009
Sicily-Rome Cemetery Visit
While traveling in Italy with his wife and three young sons, Kevin visited the Sicily-Rome American Cemetery. Coming across brothers buried side by side inspired the research that would become “Brothers in Arms.”

Kevin continues his research into WWII history while speaking at events and working to preserve these important stories for future generations. He lives in Norwalk, Connecticut with his family.
A Family’s Perspective
As the father of three boys, Kevin found the sight of brothers resting forever together in military cemeteries to be especially poignant. This personal connection fueled his decade-long journey to uncover and share their stories.
“Seeing my own sons walk among those graves made the sacrifice of these brothers and their families feel intensely personal. I knew their stories needed to be told,” Kevin reflects.
Today, Kevin lives in Norwalk, Connecticut with his wife, three sons, and two dogs. When not researching or writing, he enjoys coaching youth sports and sharing his passion for history with his children.
